PRO RECCO WATERPOLO WELCOMES THE HAMMARSKJOLD FAMILY
Recco, 21 November 2024 – Pro Recco Waterpolo, the most successful team in the history of the game, is pleased to announce that the Hammarskjold family will partner with the Behring family as co-owners of the Club.
The involvement of the Hammarskjold family in Pro Recco represents an important opportunity to further strengthen the Club’s structure to pursue ever-more ambitious goals.
Philip Hammarskjold states: “I have loved the game of water polo since my youth, first as a player and more recently watching my children play the game. My family shares a long-dated friendship with the Behring family, so we were delighted and honored when they offered us the opportunity to share this journey with them. Pro Recco is the premier franchise in the game today, and our goal is to support the team to continue to compete at the very highest level of international water polo for many years to come”.
Lucas Giannini, CEO of Behring Foundation, adds: “We welcome the Hammarskjold family with whom we share a deep and sincere friendship.
